Our fabrics
We use 100% cotton sateen as the fabric for our bed linen. Satin is perfect for our products because it has a silky surface, is comfortable, soft and easy to care for. Satin is thought to be one of the best bedding materials.
Satin is not the same as satin. Both are made in satin weave – four fabric weaves go on the top and one on the bottom. However, satin fabrics are made of silk, nylon or polyester. The saddle, on the other hand, is always 100% cotton. Both have one and the same characteristic – slightly shiny and dense on the top, with no shine on the bottom. This feature helps the blanket and pillow to stay inside the blanket bag and pillowcase.
As both big and small people sweat during sleep, fabrics that are “breathable” are particularly suitable for bedding. Satään is one of them. Pleasant and really breathable.
Our fabrics are originally made in Italy, Poland and Pakistan. The Polish weaving mill is located in the Lodz region, which has been a traditional area of the Polish weaving industry for centuries. The fabric, which we will eventually get printed in Italy, will initially be made in Pakistan. From there, the raw fabric arrives untreated in Italy, where it goes through the whole process of preparation for printing, digital printing and finishing.
A bit about our bed linen care. Sateen fabric has a low shrinkage, but can also be ironed at the same temperature as cotton fabric if desired. It also stands up very well to washing in 60 – degree water.
Our fabrics have their images and patterns digitally printed. We do digital printing in both Poland and Italy, depending on the size of the product. Our bed linen digital print, the brainchild of talented designers, is beautifully finished, will withstand many washes and ironings and will stay as beautiful as when you bought it.
